We really had a very positive meeting today with Councillor Tricia Turner (Head of Central Bedfordshire). Click here for more information about Tricia.
Tricia was very interested to hear how we all managed. Being a grandparent herself, she appreciated that she could 'indulge' her grandchildren, while we were now our grandchildren's 'parents'. Tricia was interested in all our various experiences with our Local Authority and is very keen to set-up a meeting for us with Central Bedfordshire Council, with the aim being to providing training and support for grandparents, similar to the access that Foster Parents receive.
