‘How to be Good’ - 30th September 2010

Hopefully this will be the first of many courses.  These courses are usually open to Foster Carers and Social Workers, but we have been advised by Milton Keynes Local Authority that we (Grandparents Support Group) can now apply for courses and, as long as there is space, we will be considered.

What a breakthrough for the group.

A couple of us from the group went on the course.  It was very interesting.  They explained why ‘attachment’ of children / people  is so important,  how it affects all of us, and 'how we behave’, hence the title ‘How to be Good’

I am going to encourage other Grandparents to go on other courses being offered, because there are some areas covered in the training which are very relevant to us as carers of our Grandchildren.  They are not just relevant to Foster Carers and Social Workers.
