Welcome to the website for the Grandparents Support Group for Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Grandparents become the main carers for their Grandchildren for lots of reasons including: incidents of violence, alcohol or drug misuse, mental illness, a death, separation, divorce or any combination of these. 

Things are very different from when we brought up our children and it can seem very lonely at times. That's why we offer each other encouragement and support.

Our groups are informal and we gain tremendous support from others who have gone through the same experiences.

Discussions include: contact, finances, behaviour management, school and health issues. We occasionally have speakers covering subjects such as: benefits, dealing with social services, education, mental health and how to keep our Grandchildren safe from drugs and alcohol.  

We even have computer courses, so we can keep up with our Grandchildren.
